Privacy PolicyYour data, and what we do with it.
Indigroo is operated by Softcubical Technologies. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Indigroo app, the Indigroo Plus app or this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up we collect your phone number, and the one-time password we send to verify it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the basic profile information those services return. You may optionally add your name and a profile photo.
Location and addresses
Indigroo is a location-first product: to show you the shops closest to you, we ask for location permission and use your device's GPS position. You can also set a location manually using the map picker. Delivery addresses you save are stored against your account so you can reuse them.
Order information
We store the orders you place — the shop, the items, the amounts, the coupon applied, the delivery address, the status timeline and the delivery OTP for that order.
Payment information
Card and UPI credentials are handled by our payment processor, Razorpay. Indigroo does not store your full payment credentials. We store the payment method type, the transaction reference and the status so we can show you your bill and handle refunds.
Delivery partner location (Indigroo Plus)
While a delivery partner is online or carrying an order, Indigroo Plus collects the device's precise location — including when the app is in the background or the screen is off — so we can offer nearby delivery requests, guide the partner to the shop and the customer, and let the customer follow the rider on the live map. Android shows a persistent "sharing location" notification the whole time this is happening. Location collection stops when the partner goes offline and has no delivery in progress.
Shop and delivery partner information
If you use Indigroo Plus as a shopkeeper we collect your store details — name, category, address, landmark, city, state, pincode, verified GPS location, opening hours and shop photos. If you use it as a delivery partner we collect your vehicle type and vehicle number. For both roles we collect KYC documents — such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, vehicle RC and insurance, and a selfie for identity verification — and bank account or UPI details, including the IFSC code, so settlements can be paid out.
Photos and camera
The apps use the camera or photo library only when you choose to take or pick a photo — a profile photo, a KYC document, a shop or product photo, or a photo attached to a support issue or delivery.
Device and usage information
We collect the device identifiers and push notification tokens needed to deliver notifications, along with basic app usage and diagnostic information.
2. How we use it
- To show you shops near you with real distances and delivery times
- To place, fulfil, track and support your orders
- To process payments and issue refunds
- To verify identity for shops and delivery partners, and to run settlements
- To send transactional notifications about your order
- To operate support chat, the FAQ engine and issue reporting
- To keep the platform secure and prevent misuse
3. Who we share it with
- The shop fulfilling your order receives the items ordered and what it needs to prepare and hand over the order.
- The delivery partner assigned to your order receives the delivery address and contact details needed to complete the delivery. You likewise see your rider's name, phone, vehicle type and vehicle number.
- Razorpay, our payment processor, to take payment and process refunds.
- SMS and email providers (including Twilio and 2Factor) to deliver one-time passwords and notifications.
- DigiLocker, for KYC verification of shops and delivery partners.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we protect it
Access to your account is protected by token-based authentication with refresh tokens and token blacklisting, so a session can be revoked. Uploaded documents are stored in encrypted document storage. Live tracking runs over a secured channel. The 4-digit delivery OTP exists specifically so that an order can only be completed by the person it belongs to.
5. Your choices
- Location permission can be declined or revoked in your device settings; you can then set your location manually, though shop discovery will be less accurate.
- Notifications can be turned off in your device settings and in the app's notification preferences.
- Saved addresses and payment methods can be removed from your profile at any time.
- Account deletion is available inside both apps, and on the web at indigroo.com/delete-account, which explains exactly what happens, what is kept, and how to have your information erased permanently.
6. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, it is closed straight away: you are signed out everywhere, notifications stop, a shop disappears from the customer app and a delivery partner stops receiving requests. Your account information is kept, hidden from everyone, so that you can restore the account by signing in again with the same mobile number.
To have it erased permanently, email info@softcubical.com (details at indigroo.com/delete-account). Within 30 days we erase your name, mobile number, email, profile photo and saved addresses, and for shops and delivery partners the KYC and bank details not required by law. Order, payment, refund and settlement records — and the KYC and bank details tied to payouts already made — are kept, no longer linked to your name or number, only for as long as Indian tax, accounting and anti-fraud obligations require, and then deleted.
7. Children
Indigroo is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
